Radwag PMV 50 Moisture Analyser

The PMV 50 moisture analyser is an advanced solution for measurement of moisture content of samples containing significant amounts of moisture (8-100%). Microwaves carry out the drying process that enables the user to heat the whole sample volume. The PMV 50 significantly shortens the drying time compared to standard moisture analyser. The PMV 50 can be successfully used whenever materials containing large amounts of water are dried e.g. dairy products, fish, liquid resin etc.

The sample is to be placed on a glass fibre filter in the drying chamber. At the bottom of the chamber there is one end of the waveguide from where the microwaves are emitted. The microwaves start the process by equally distributing on the filters surface and dries the sample. The moisture content result is determined on the basis of the mass loss obtained during drying.

The user can select a respective drying program depending on sample mass and its chemical composition. The average drying process depends on the type and mass of the sample. The process takes 1 to 10 minutes rather than a traditional moisture analyzer that takes 5 to 40 minutes. The PMV 50 is equipped with a temperature sensor that monitors device power to prevent it exceeding the boiling point during the process.
